The Canadians arrived first. Here's a photo of us having dinner at Palaisdaan. They missed authentic Filipino food so eating here is one of the top priorities.
My relatives' vacation here in the Philippines is now over and everyone is feeling incomplete. I'm not used to seeing Ate Beng2 expressing mushy feelings about family, but this time it's different. They stayed here for about a month and of course, we don't want them to go back there; but unfortunately, they need to :( August 2014 had been a memorable time for our family. Our relatives from Canada and UK were set to be here last August. This is the first time where they get to visit us here on the same month and year, which makes us complete! :) The reason for this is to celebrate a very special occasion – our grandparent's golden wedding. We were very excited to see them once again and everyone was looking forward to spend time with them (causing me to file a lot of vacation leaves). The Canadians arrived first. Here's a photo of us having dinner at Palaisdaan. They missed authentic Filipino food so eating here is one of the top priorities. And then here are some photos of our dance practice for the wedding (now with the British people): My cute cousins ♥ We spent most of our time here at Kuya Zaldy and Ate Gigi's place playing Wii and doing a lot of videoke singing. And here are some pictures of the wedding To be continued...

It's 1PM and it stopped raining, finally. Woke up early this morning because of work (my shift starts at 6AM). It was raining hard when I got out of our apartment but I firmly decided (for a few seconds) that I will still walk on my way to the FX/van terminal (which takes about 7 minutes) despite of the pouring rain. I instantly changed my mind after soaking my shoes and getting my feet wet. I immediately hailed a cab. I really don't have anything interesting to say but mundane stuff. I was binge reading Saab Magalona's blog and I just suddenly want to post something in my own blog. Just on the top of my mind: My cousins (two boys) from Canada already left this morning after spending a few weeks here in the Philippines. The last time they came home, they were just kids that you can kiss and hug (which annoys them, making them so cute!). But when they arrived last month, they have really grown into quiet and shy teenagers. They got way taller too! The first few days, they don't talk much. They will answer questions (Yeah, No, Uh huh) but will not initiate conversations. I suddenly missed them when they were just kids. They used to be so easy to please. But after some time, the awkward conversations were gone. You could see that they didn't change much at all :) They obviously matured but andun pa din yung pagkakulit. I'm really going to miss them. I'll see them again hopefully after a year and a half (when and if I pass for an immigrant visa). And then I have another set of cousins (3 adorable kids) from UK. Banong bano ako sa British accent nila! I try to imitate their accents when I talk to them (trying hard lang haha). I take my time to cherish these moments while they're still young and so I hug, kiss and tickle them a lot. They're set to leave next week. Sad :( Last month (August 2014) was all about family bonding and get togethers (lots of crying - tears of joy). I'll try to summarize everything on my next post :)
